Formerly
the Bishop's Palace, Edward King House is set in the lee of the Cathedral
and next to the ruins of the medieval Palace. There are fine views across
the city and the surrounding countryside from the tranquil, terraced garden.
We are at the heart of uphill Lincoln yet in a quiet oasis with easy access to shops and places of interest. The ring road and railway station are both less than a mile distant.
From October 2006, Edward King House will be under new management. There are plans for a complete refurbishment with the introduction of en-suite bathrooms to all bedrooms and an upgrade of the reception rooms to the highest standard. The end result will be interiors and service which will match the unsurpassed beauty of the house and its setting.
The implementation of these plans will involve some disruption and residential accomodation will be unavailable for most of 2007. Day conferences will be unaffected until late 2007/early 2008 when the public rooms will close for about three months.
